You've hit the nail right on the head. Threadgill's is a place in Austin that will always have a fond place in my heart. However, I'm not likely to eat there anymore unless I'm with a group of friends who insist on going, and I can't talk them into anything else. I haven't been in the Austin area but 10 years or so, and I've already noticed the sharp downturn in their quality. Absolutely, true, Mariah! Threadgill's needs to reinvent themselves instead of resting of their laurels. I feel like I've just kicked someone's cat for making such remarks against that institution, but it needed to be said.
