However, long has been the day since I've worked and/or lived downtown. If anyone is like me and has somehow mysteriously found themselves living in the suburban area of North Austin, like Round Rock or P-ville, I can assure fellow readers that your hopes of great pancakes, without trudging all the way down to the river or even further south, are not lost. We do have a Pancake House up in the north part of town. I should provide a url so that no one thinks that I'm trying to endorse IHOP. ick. http://www.originalpancakehouse.com/ It's right at Metric and Parmer. Granted, it's a chain, which is *usually* a first strike against any restaurant in my book, but I do like this place. Is it as good as Magnolia? No. Does it have the same funky Austin charm? No. Will it satisfy the pancake craving of a hungry foodie? Yes....If you can get in. There's always been a wait everytime I go.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5097696966167161674/7447454495953401285/comments/default/6979099750140974251'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5097696966167161674/7447454495953401285/comments/default/6979099750140974251'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.dininginaustinblog.com/2008/04/magnolia-cafe.html?showComment=1207343400000#c6979099750140974251' title=''/><author><name>Lee</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/10114341543084829718</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='15688816089666321314'/><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.dininginaustinblog.com/2008/04/magnolia-cafe.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5097696966167161674.post-7447454495953401285' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5097696966167161674/posts/default/7447454495953401285' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-1586095387'/></entry></feed>
