Haha, the worst I have ever said about a dish at Uchi is "eh... I wouldn't order it again." But when it comes to food I try to take something new away from every dish. I've always felt that the best way to learn is from the mistakes of others, and in that case I haven't learned much from Tyson Cole and his staff at Uchi as they right a pretty tight ship.

Max- Looks like you have been having a blast and eating some terrific and adventurous food. The photos on your website are great. Thanks for the input and sharing your link. The Saba Nagiri- you can't easily go wrong at Uchi, can you?

Wow! Pork Belly and Short Ribs! sounds great! I love the mint on the Pork Belly. I have had lunch at the Carillon a couple of times while attending functions at the Executive Education center and it is certainly one of the best gourmet buffets I have even eaten at. It always saddens me to see the word truffle coupled with a sense of disappointment, this happened to me at the restaurant Cyrus in Healdsburg, CA. Have you tried the Saba Nigiri special at Uchi? It is the best truffle dish I have had in Austin.
