I worked at the Pecan Street Cafe from 1979 to 1987, and you are if anything being kind. Pecan St. was an excellent and even cutting edge restaurant in the late seventies and early 80's. Then, the manager was fired, and business sold, and it has been schlock food for dupes ever since then. THe man who owns it is a nice guy, but not a chef or even a foodie. It is a tourist trap; the sauces come in CANS.

Thanks for thinking of us on you latest brunch excursion. Sagra is open for brunch Saturday and Sunday. We were voted best brunch in Austin last year by citysearch and don't forget the $1 bellinis and mimosas.
